About the LCK Challengers League (LCK CL)

The LCK Challengers League is the official second division of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), the premier League of Legends competition in South Korea. It features the academy teams of the 10 LCK franchise organizations, providing a platform for rising esports stars to showcase their talents and develop their skills.

The LCK CL season is divided into two splits, Spring and Summer, with each split culminating in a playoffs tournament. The top teams from the LCK CL earn promotion to the LCK, while the bottom teams are relegated to the amateur Challenger Series.

The LCK CL is a breeding ground for the next generation of League of Legends talent. Many of the players who have gone on to become stars in the LCK and beyond, such as Faker, Bengi, and Cuzz, first made their mark in the LCK CL.
